I am currently studying at Manchester Met in my second year. My work focuses on ‘Sense of Place’ and the interaction between people and their surroundings. I mostly shoot with analogue equipment as this process slows me down allowing me to get the best compositions.
The most recent project is ‘Fenlands & Fishing’. This is a tabloid documentation of life and architecture in Lincolnshire. My work showcases Lincolnshire by combining landscape, architectural and portrait photography and using a mixture of archival and personal photographs to create a sense of place. Based around Immingham and Grimsby this journal documents the changes in the landscape from one of agriculture to industry.
I have assisted industry photographers and created my independent projects through university.
